William “Bill” Blanchard

Chairman

Bill Blanchard is an established, highly respected businessman based in Tampa. He has decades of experience in the electricity, telecommunications, water resources, and ecosystem management sectors, as well as in the development and operation of not-for-profit cultural institutions. He brings extensive knowledge to Biotech in the improvement of lands and operates a highly successful wetlands mitigation bank at his property in Dade City. Mr. Blanchard has served on the Board of Directors of The Turks and Caicos Utilities, Turks and Caicos Television, West Indies Vision Cable, Grenada Electricity Services Limited, and WRB Enterprises, among others. He is Chairman of WRB Resources and a member of the Building Committee of the Tampa Museum of Art, helping to oversee construction of a $100 million museum expansion. He is a former Chairman of the Board for Zoo Tampa and former Vice-Chair of the Ybor City Development Corporation.

Bill Roberts

Managing Director

Bill Roberts’ background is in telecommunications, land use, and transportation. He is responsible fo the day-to-day operations and advancement of Biotech of Florida. As a licensed real estate broker for over 30 years, Bill’s experience includes business mergers with Berkshire Hathaway’s Florida Properties Group and he currently runs his own boutique brokerage specializing in land and related projects that are instrumental in identifying contaminated properties with real estate development potential for Biotech.

A graduate of Stetson University where he served as National Alumni President and as a Trustee, he is active in his community as a past president of his Rotary Club, past 7-year chair of the Hillsborough County MPO’s Citizens committee representing Tampa’s airport and provided 6 years of service to the regional TBARTA Board. Active in regulatory matters for Biotech and related companies, Bill served as a lobbyist with Southern Strategy Group during a period of substantial growth and currently monitors state regulations at FDEP and other agencies.

He has been recognized by his peers and by government officials with several awards including Stetson’s Community Service Award and as a Cable Tv Pioneer. Bill lives in Tampa and prefers to vacation in the North Carolina mountains as well as on Anna Maria Island.

Richard Callahan

SENIOR ADVISOR & DIRECTOR, ENVIRONMENTAL AFFAIRS

Dick Callahan has several decades of experience in the environmental field during which he owned the 200-person Biological Research Associates (BRA) and successor companies. His expertise includes wetland ecology, wildlife biology, resource management, environmental assessment/evaluation, environmental permitting, strategic land planning, and mitigation banking. Most recently he was the Senior Strategic Director for North American Operations for Cardno International and is currently involved in several entrepreneurial projects in the Tampa Bay area. “Callahan” received an appointment to West Point Military Academy and has focused his business career on enriching the land in Florida and throughout the US. He lives on Tampa’s Davis Islands and maintains a summer home on the coast of Maine.

Robin Leiby

Director of Business Development

Robin has an extensive background in developing business, marketing, and real estate. She is responsible for identifying new business opportunities, developing content strategy, and lead generation. Robin holds a Bachelor’s Degree in International Relations from the University of South Florida. She is active in several professional and philanthropic organizations and has resided in Tampa for over 25 years.

Lisa Schmidt

Business Development Specialist

Lisa Schmidt brings twenty years of business experience to Biotech Restorations of Florida. She has been actively involved in the construction industry, where for 17 years, was an award-winning Director of Network Development. Her experience covers a wide range of construction-related fields including a term as Sales Director for VIIZR, a Ford Pro company. Until recently, she excelled as the Director of Business Development & Design for Interior Fusion of Florida. Lisa owns and operates a specialty construction business, Innovative Interiors Co. Her skillset includes extensive research and development of interpersonal relationships geared toward the advancement of individualized business experiences for clients.

Active in the community, Lisa is Foundation Chair for Rotary International’s Westchase Chapter and is a Digital Marketing Program Advisor at the USF Muma College of Business. A graduate of the University of Florida (Go Gators!), Lisa lives in Tampa.

Chris Young

Technical Remediation Advisor

Chris is a 4-decades’ long scientist specializing in the chemistry of bio-remediation. Chris is responsible for the evaluation of potential contaminated properties as well as directing the treatments for all Biotech customers. After a career with Dow Chemical, he founded Biotech Restorations over a decade ago with the desire to perfect an environmentally-friendly method for cleaning contaminated soils. He has conducted numerous studies of soil situations around the country and has performed remediation processes in multiple US sites. Chris resides in the Charlotte area of North Carolina where he maintains a testing and evaluation laboratory.
